STIMULUS PAYMENT
DELAYS
Millions of people who use tax preparation services did not
receive their stimulus payments. Millions of tax payers, like our clients, are
seeing a different bank account. This is because the IRS does not have your
direct deposit information on file, if you applied for an Advance or your Tax
Preparation Fees were taken out of your refund.
The IRS has the bank’s “temporary bank account” on file that is
automatically created by the bank. The
IRS is aware of the problem. The IRS issued
a statement that it found a way to work around this problem and a “significant
percentage” of tax payers will ultimately get a direct deposit. Clients should contact the IRS directly at:
